Do you want to wipe a disk completely (i.e. it will destroy XP), or do you just want to clean and remove the user's data.

If you really do not want anyone to be able to recover *anything* then you need a disk shredder.

I recommend this one

http://killdisk.com/

Both the free and the paid versions are extremely competent (we've used the free software and heard good things about the paid versions from folks who work for large companies).

To wipe your data you can use Stellar Wipe safe data eraser.
Stellar Wipe - data cleanup and file eraser utility can delete selected folders, groups of files, entire logical drives, System Traces & Internet traces (Internet cache, History, Cookies, Auto fill etc) eliminating all evidence.

This data eraser utility also wipes free space (unused space) on the hard drive ensuring complete Data Destruction.

Once the data have been removed using Stellar Wipe - Data File eraser utility, it is beyond recovery limits of any Data Recovery Software or utility.

Download Free software: http://www.stellarinfo.com/file-eraser.htm
