Blank message body in OE6

After download/install of new PayPal, OE6 stopped displaying message bodies, both in preview and full open. Messages forward to another user OK. Compose screen also does not display text.
Any help greatly appreciated.

I'm not aware of any software you'd need to download for paypal.

Could you let us know what software you downloaded?

It was an update to the virtual debit card utility. It was obtained through PayPal's resident utility and did not involve any email or outside links.

Can you go to Tools -> Option -> Read and make sure that the setting "Read all messages in plain text" is not ticked?

For some reason, it is not rendering the HTML and that might be the first place to look.
